Got My Vision 19.5s

I finally pulled the trigger on some 19.5s and Toyo tires. My stock tires and rims were over the limit and are over 7 years old. Got these at Les Schwab for a pretty good deal. Tires are not as wide as original, but am pretty happy so far!

Is there a "how to" when it comes to matching up the tire with the rim?

I am surprised they even mounted the 225's as they are really too narrow for a 7.5" wide wheel, especially with how 19.5's hold their bead. A 245 is really about as narrow as one should go on a 7.5" wheel.

I do t have a TC but I am around 7-7.5K RAW with over 1K above the bed rails and love my 19.5's.

I would have to look up the measurements again but they should stick out about 1.5-2" more than OEM wheels/tires per side.

Looks good!!

Yes, get the fender wraps. Finishes off the look on a Dodge truck.

You can always get the fender extensions around the wells openings if the dirt throw is annoying. the black ones on the silver would look good!!!
NICE!!

Les Schwab got them swapped out for an small additional amount. Guy at Schwab asked why do you need such heavy duty tires on this truck? I said truck camper (he nodded his head and understood - safety factor). I think they actually fill the wheel well space better on top of it. They do stick out a little, but not bad. I think my stock tires were about the same.

If you are running Vision rims, they are rated for 4500 lbs. I was willing to go to a 16PR LRH tire to get really stiff sidewalls and a 4805 lb tire rating, but my rear axle weight only varied 7000-8000 lbs but I aired them up appropriately for the load. You have to decide which you prefer: comfort or a heavy sidewall

Ask Les Schwab for the inflation chart. You probably won't need to inflate to full load rating. This will also make the ride a little softer. I went with 265's and I only have to inflate to 85psi to give me over 9,000 carry capacity. I can go up to 11,000 at full air volume, but that isn't needed or desired.

Thanks guys, this forum is the best. 225s would have been fine, but for a few bucks more I get 30% more capacity.

245 will make the deal even better! Don't forget the pics...I know you won't! Good looking ride and hauler!

I have the same tire in a 245. they grab uneven spots in pavement at first so be aware of that ( it goes away as they break in). They ride nice and wear well. What made you choose the 225s?

I thought the 245 might sit out too wide on the RAM.

Like the vision center caps! I got my visions Last June. My 2006 Dodge 2500 has plenty of room with the 245 size tires. wanted load capacity of tire in relation to the load factor of the 19.5 visions. Big difference in load capacity between 225s and 245s.

That looks great. I called Schwab today and they are swapping out the 225s for 245s. I want the extra capacity. Most of the reason I went with 19.5s. Thanks for the pictures...
