I see there an a Hensley arrow listed on eBay near me for $1040.00.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Hensley-Arrow-Trailer-Hitch-System-Weight-Distribution-Reese-Equal-i-zer-RV-/131148608192?pt=Motors_RV_Trailer_Camper_Parts_Accessories&hash=item1e8910f2c0&vxp=mtr

Is it a worthwhile upgrade over my standard (husky) weight distribution system? I can feel the semi's pass me and would like that push-pull feeling eliminated.

I looked at the anderson hitch too, I decided to go with the hensley simply because of the conflicting opinions on the anderson when it was used with higher tongue weights. However, if I hadn't found a used hensley for $800 I probably would have gambled on the anderson myself

The Hensley is a rock solid hitch. I loved ours.

I changed up to a Andersen WD Hitch, and would never go back to a traditional hitch. The weight and ease of use blew me away. It's worth researching.

But there is nothing wrong with the Hensley. You won't regret it.

Either way, ditch the husky. Those are simply garbage. They shouldn't be allowed to sell them!

I will never tow without a Hensley, it is that good.
The description says the lifetime warranty can be transferred.

One drawback to a Hensley, in my case, is they don't make a 2 1/2 shank to fit a 2 1/2 class V receiver. You have to use the adapter, which as I've been told diminishes tongue weight capacity to some degree (no one has been able to tell me HOW much though). That's why I'm going with a ProPride. They make a 2 1/2 shank. Otherwise from what I've read, they're both top notch hitches.

I upgraded with an HA I purchased on eBay and it was absolutely the best upgrade I ever did with my TT. I went from a Reese DC that I had nothing but problems with to this used HA that worked flawlessly for me for the next five years I had the trailer. Sold the hitch along with the trailer for an extra $1500 and the current owner is still using the the HA and swears by it.

If there is any way you can get your hands on that hitch....I highly recommend it. I gotta tell ya, had I still owned my TT and didn't have an HA, I would have bought this one in a blink of an eye. I'm extremely surprised that it has not sold yet. That price is an excellent price and if it didn't have a "buy it now", would probably get bids of over $2000 for it.

Good luck in your bidding...

I found the Hensley Arrow was a worthwhile addition. Barely notice wind or semi-trucks. Narrow, winding, roads are no problem as the trailer stays exactly behind me. The weight really does get transferred to the front axle...which I could never accomplish with my "other" hitch. No greasy ball to mess with. And quite. There is a learning curve to hooking up and depending on your truck/trailer height, you may need a different hitch bar to make the trailer ride level.

I can't advise for or against buying it on eBay though.
