We visited Hershey over the weekend in a mission to find tt that fits our unique situation.
The pita situation:

(1)sloped driveway. Currently with a 14" tire 21ft hybrid we clear the driveway by 1.5".

(2) shoddy tow rating: k2500 w/7600lb towing

(3)Bh tt w slide/couch that might work

Contenders: salem 26tbud or 28dbud. And jay flight 26bhs. We need 5000 to 6000 dry and minimum 15" heavy duty axles w high ground clearance

What a pita!

I have a 2011 jayco 26 BH.
So far I like it.
We are currently finishing up a 2000 mile long 2 week trip with it and haven't had any problems with it.
After 2 weeks it does get a bit cramped but for us the camper isn't the destination it's just a place to shower and hang our hats.
The pros of the camper are it has a lot of storage.
I love the fact that it carries 90 gals of fresh water but you will need to tote be case the gray and black are only 36 gal each.
The bunks one our has the double bed on the bottom and single on top,but that gave us a small closet to put the kids clothing.

The things I don't are the cheap plastic sinks and tolit.

I'm not sure I understand the original post.

Nevermind - I reread it and realized you are looking for a new model. At first I thought you were reporting on a camping trip to Hershey.

It's a PA thing! To add misery. I have 3 miles of 15% grades in every approach to my home. Need a diesel mega cab lol!

Sounds like you're in a similar boat as us. We have a brutally steep driveway and are lifting our trailer just to get up that hill. It's also tight coming off of our street, so 25' is about the max length we can get in the driveway. We also needed a bunkhouse to fit all of our rug rats.

All of these together have seriously limited our choices.

Virtually every coach with traditional springs/axles (not torsion axles) can be repositioned for additional ground clearance. Dexter sells a kit to reposiiton the axles if you purchase a coach with their axles.
