Highway Rib Tire choices

most common here is people looking for tires with more load range, or more aggressive off road, but what do you recommend (based on usage) for tires that are only used on highway during the summer? I want tires with solid outer tread bar to help eliminate feathering. I want quiet and most of all I want them to last a long time.

when its time, I may look into these.
cooper discoverer HT3 (50K mile tread wear warranty)

But my new truck is 2wd, dually with cast/polished wheels that I can't rotate. fronts always wear faster, so I think once its time for front tires, I will buy 4 for the rear than I have 2 pair to install on front as time goes by.

Highway tires are dime a dozen for sale as new takeoffs for Cheap.
Best tire value if you’re just looking for pavement pounders is buy new takeoffs for less than half of what a good set at the tire store sells for and when they don’t last as long you’re still money ahead.
Caveat being you have a dually and the OE Nexen tires are as bad as Goodyear Marathons so I’d not buy those particular ones unless they were almost free.

Might want to do some more research. Coopers recently hwve been getting some negative comments. Michelins are nice, but really really pricy. As an alternative look at BFG Commercial TA or Yokohama Geloanders. Im running the Yokahamas on my 4x2 dually and really like them. Super quiet, decent price and so far their wearing well.
