Hitch extension source?

I'm looking for a 18" hitch extension. I want a 2 1/2". I "think" I want a solid bar instead of the tube. I'm assuming it's stronger. I just want to tow a 13' utility trailer with a ATV, or my 18' aluminum john boat. I'm sure a hollow tube would work just as well but..
I've looked everywhere I can think of. Probably overlooked it though.

Hence the disclaimer that I made mine. I'm sure there are 3" square U bolts like that. Or use some all thread and heat to shape your own.
I used black pipe 1/2" for the cross T. Very strong stuff!

I've stopped rattle with a welding bead and a grinder. It makes it harder to get in/out though.

Yeah. From all the designs that is my favorite, although I still have my doubts it would keep 20k lb trailer quiet and not break in the process.
Still no 3" size available.

^^^I've got one very similar. I just put on the bike carrier on the back of the 5th a little while ago. And, I need to double nut it.

I've made several of these types of anti-rattles as my conglomeration of parts to assemble my hitch extension used to tow my Suzuki Samurai has several receiver joints.
From my hitch to my 24" extension, from my extension to my ReadyBrake, from my ReadyBrake to my drop ball. I also welded on some tabs on the extension to attach chains to tension back to the truck on each side. It is very solid.

Not having the rattling is hard to do.
Even my 3" extension does some rattling and I made it to go all the way to receiver end. You can buy anti-rattle brackets, but not only they don't look strong to me, but nobody so far makes them for 3" size.
I can manufacture something, but again, from all the designs I have seen - sheet metal shims work the best.

I apologize for not expressing myself well.
The closest thing I have seen was the HE18 at Brophy. But it's a 2" and I don't want to use the 2" X 2 1/2" adapter.

No problem, Gearhead. I meant no harm to you, either. All is well in camping community.

What is your reason for not wanting to use the adapter you mentioned? Just curious.

10-4 Good here.
My truck has the 2 1/2" receiver. I have the 2" adapter and use it 99% of the time. I usually tow a 21ft fiberglass center console bay boat that might weigh 4,000# total. I have a 18ft aluminum GoDevil john boat that might weigh 1,500#. I don't think I will ever pull the bay boat behind the camper. I just don't like the loose fit and rattling when I have the adapter in the receiver. Since it has a 2 1/2" receiver I would like to utilize it. I want to put together a couple different height 2 1/2" "stingers" for my different trailers and do away with the adapter completely. The times I would pull behind the camper will be very few so I may just have to use the adapter with an extension.

On etrailer, there is a 2 1/2 that reduces to 2. You still need the 3 to 2 1/2 adapter though at the hitch if your hitch is 3".

It can be trimmed to 24 if desired and is currently about $134.

I just measure This ball mount that I bought last year.
From hole to hole it is 10.5". It is good cast mount, although rattling more than I like (Chinese sizes are always smaller).
So could you make it working?
Once you go above 2" sizing - things are getting expensive very fast, when choices gets limited.

That would work for my john boat trailer, it has a long tongue. Not sure what they mean to use only on Titan receivers though.

Apparently a business opportunity for somebody.

OH BOY.... Why the attitude? These good folks are attempting to answer your question. Just disregard what does not apply. Be nice. It doesn't hurt.

E-Trailer probably has what you want.

Good luck.
