Real world, the rims are the limiting weight rating at 3500-3600lb each

Upgrade to DRW and 4 3,500# rims equal 14,000#

Anywhere from 2900-3900 lbs camper rating, from that thing you didn’t want to look up.
Total payload is a bit higher.
That’s by the numbers.
Real world, the rims are the limiting weight rating at 3500-3600lb each. Which puts you in the 3500-4000lb cap on the rear axle or a bit more total payload.
Real real world, 4000-5000lb campers get hauled every day on these trucks (all of em from all mfgs ) without issue. I have no problem putting up to 4klbs on a good OE rim.

While that is true, a great deal goes on the rear axle.

What is the rear axle rating? 7,500 minus 4,600 is 2,900# that is a light rear end.
