How high is too high?

Looking for a more powerful tow vehicle for my trailer.
F-150 with a 5.0 V8 lags on grades uphill.

A Ram CTD 5.9 piques my interest somewhat.
Where I roam, there is no ULSD available so one that requires that is out......hence an older (2006-7) Ram with the Cummins.

What would be considered high mileage on a 5.9?
I am seeing 160K.....170K and on up for a 2007.
Slim pickings under 100K miles.

For the engine, you can reasonably expect double the mileage you're looking at with a good chance the inj pump and turbo will last that long too. Rest of the truck is the same as any other high mile pickup. Totally dependent on the care, maintenance and a little luck, lol.

But as said above, if you're in Mehico, just buy a newer one of you want and delete it.
Delete is removing all the emissions systems that require the ulsd.
You're a perfect candidate for it. Cost a couple thousand for everything to do it.

My last three Dodge/Cummins have had over a million miles combined. One with over 400k. If they have been taken care of then the engine will last a very, very long time. The truck around the engine will have some problems after 200k. Steering components, tranny issues, interior, etc will be more of an issue.
2011 ram 3500. Cummins 68rfe. EFI live. 276k miles and climbing.

A high milage cummins would be somthing above 300k for me.

150k is not what I consider high.

I have owned 4 cummins trucks all but one with over 250k and never a problem.

my current truck is a 93 with 163k that is low miles for this truck.
