I live in a Utah State Park. Friday night the Gov said we can only allow visitors from within the same county that the park is in.

We have two campgrounds. One with full hook ups and a primitive campground about 3 miles up the canyon.

This is our primitive campground last week with just a little fresh snow.

I think I'm going to take my camper and go spend a couple of nights in here.

At least I'll get to go camping. :B

Enjoy..Our State campgrounds are closed also as well as most forest service..Infact,One national forest close to here just locked and closed all the outhouses...

None of that impacts how I camp in out of the way places..

Virginia is closing its state parks to camping today! Open only for day use by locals. Must show ID at gate to get in. Think all restrooms and indoor facilities are closed.

I'm sure we'll see more down the road.

Our notice to only allow same county residence is in place until April 13 unless things change sooner.

Six of them have closed their campgrounds and six have closed their visitor centers. Not all of them are the same six.

I think in some areas it make a little sense.

Our county has no cases reported as of yet.

So people traveling from outside our county can leave it on gas pumps and possibly if they stop at the store to pick something up.

At least no one here has taken it upon himself to scold you for "raising your risk profile"!! I actually saw that accusation on another forum. It made me feel disgusted to see the "thought and behavior police" beating people up over their desire to get outdoors.

I wonder where those "snowbirds" can go?
I have seen hundreds of them boondocking in Lake Mead area.
Park gave them note to leave last week. ....
What % of them might be Utah residents?

AZ state parks are open but are closed to locals because the snowbirds aren't leaving till end of April. We're loading up the RZR and going to spend next week boondocking and riding the trails.

Currently only 6 of Utah State Park's campgrounds are closed.
The rest of them like mine are restricted to local folks living within the same county as the Park.

We've had to turn away several RVers. 😞
