Is GM still making 2018 Silverados?

Just a couple of months ago I read that GM was going to continue production of the 2018 model through most of this year:
2018 Model continuing

Then today I read "The launch of the all-new, 2019 Silverado 1500 is nearing full-force, as retail availability of the all-new full-size pickup increases and as more models and body styles go into production. The circumstance incentivizes Chevy to move ANY REMAINING last-gen, K2 platform 2018 Silverado models." This implies that the 2018 models are already out of production. And, it is from the same source.

Sale on remaining 2018's

Just trying to figure out what GM is actually doing.

That is sooner than normal, don't they usually change over in July or later?

GM started the 2015 HD's (last major) in January 2014.

There is no longer specific time period for startup.

No more 18's being made, GM made lots of light duty trucks before switching to new body for 19. So lots of 18's left on the lots. The 19 HD trucks will be a short run we are going down for change over 2nd week of May to start the new 20 HD body style.

The production of 2018 models probably ended last year in July or August.

Don’t know if they’re still making 18s or not. Don’t care. Model year designations while handy for diagnosis or parts applications are important.
Beyond that, do not believe dealer marketing strategies have anything to do with production.
