Is it just where I am that diesel and gas cost the same?

Our F150 broke down and since at higher mileage we decided to buy a new truck. Settled and bought a 2008 Ram 3500 diesel so decided to read this forum for hints etc. what I found were many post touting gas prices were lower than diesel. Yes this truck is more than we need now but we can now upgrade trailers. Anyhow where we are I passed four stations on the way home tonight and diesel is the same, pennies less or pennies more than gas. Is it just the NW? Saw this in OR too.

Currently in the Portland, OR area it is a toss up, some stations gas about a nickle more and some diesel a nickle more! It is summer gas goes up and diesel either stays the same or drops a bit.

Was close to the same price for a few days a couple months ago. But back to diesel being about 50 cents higher.

Here in Okie land is been a .50 difference with gas cheaper. Today saw one station posting $3.17 gas! Diesel, of course, was higher at $3.56. Just back from Arkansas and about the same. Usually depends on what part of town, highways, lakes, remote areas in mountains and other tourist places on how much they take you for. Fuel pricing unreasonable.

Central Florida Diesel is about 50 cents more than the cheapest regular grade gas. About the same as premium.

we were in chicago last month and diesel was 30-40 cents LESS than gasoline! paid 3.89 for gas and diesel was cheaper. Too bad the PSD was home in the garage!

We did see prices as high as $4.15 and up for gasoline, 4.50 on the tollways

I wish gas was that cheap here. Cheapest it has been in months is 3.87. Right now both are right around 4.00.

I just pointed that out the the DW this week. So we're driving the truck more as they get the same MPG. Happens ever summer here anyway. Now winter it's a good 60 cent difference.
