We are seriously looking at buying a 31BHPR. It pretty much has everything we are looking for in a TT, the only cons we can think of with it is, it has curtains instead of solid doors for the bedroom and bunkhouse....that's about it.

Maybe because this one is so new, But i'm having a hard time finding any reviews or testimonials about them.

This is our first TT, i've rented a couple times and that makes us realize we want our own, we've been researching for months and have narrowed it down to this one.

Is there anyone out there that has any experience with the Bullet line that can give me their opinions?

I looked at the Bullet Premier (with bunk house) at Camping World (Kissimmee FL) a few weeks ago. At first glance I thought it was "Premier", until I walked inside and saw all of the corners that were cut. The TT really gives the impression of top notch from the outside, but the inside was lacking, when compared to other similarly optioned TT's. My wife felt the same way.
5K for the special paint is crazy, although it does look nice.
Some of the things I noted were no option for couch in bunk house, cheaper quality furniture (bunks, entertainment center, nightstands), 14" tires, this TT had no black tank flush?. The brand new unit I was in even had broken parts laying on the floor in the bunk house (they appeared to come from the trundle bed) I expected more "premier" such as upgraded thermostats, electronics, TV & stereo, furniture, etc. Didn't care for the bunk house TV that swiveled outside...looks like a perfect place for stuff to get into the TT while the outdoor kitchen is open. I can't remember if it had electric stabilizer jacks...I think not, it seems manufacturers are getting away from them as they are high on the claim list. I'm not a big fan of the sissor jacks though, too flimsy.
I did like the very open feeling vs. boxy feeling of most TT's. It's super light for the size, so it's got that going for it. It had the new(er) style slideout cable systems, which are nice. The wife also liked the amount of storage.
I guess the list of pro/con is pretty even...just didn't fit what we wanted. Maybe we'll see some upgrades in the future model yrs.

The nose cone is fiberglass, I think...

I bet you could have the cone only, painted for a nominal cost at a commercial paint shop...

If I really loved that, I would find someone who needed some work, but had painting equipment, to paint it at my place....and there are plenty of such people who are either out of a job, or would like a weekend job.

or, I would consider, at least, painting it myself.....there are do-it-yourself painting tips available on the web..and most of us can do a creditable job.

The Premier we looked at this past Monday, also had the stainless appliances......they did look nice, and received a good review from the wife.

The added cost of the full paint does not meet our cost/value standards...if it were a $500 option instead, then perhaps...I might still have trouble with that, since there would be no real value added, only looking nice to other people.

Frankly, since the painted outside did give an impression of an upscale trailer..I think we expected more from the inside. Not that it was "bad" in any sense...but just below what the outside appearances would lead one to expect......

My wife's comment after we left the dealer...and we have a 4 yr old entry level trailer, was "That was really not much, if any, better than the trailer we have now".......which seems to be largely true.

ours isn't the full body paint, and i still get a bunch of compliments from people all the time. i am glad i didn't get the paint, although i really really really liked the black nose cone better.

when i was searching for ours i looked at a lot of adds on line and noticed some units had black stoves and some had stainless. when i went to pick mine up that was the first thing i looked for. ours had both frig and stove with stainless. so i guess we got lucky.

Ours has stainless also, guess we got it in time! I'm making our wish list for mods, can't wait until spring!

My wife was not impressed with the Bullet (and of course you know what that means as to what we would buy).....nor was I..although I thought it was all-right.....

But, it was part of our data-gathering process to make an informed buy..and I appreciate the thread and opinions expressed.

Dealer here in town just had a camper show, (its where we bought our Premier)and they told me that with the the demand of the Premier ,they ran out of stainless appliances. Ours does have the stainless !!!

I was looking to purchase a 31BHPR, but was wondering, why does some TT's have a black refrigerator and some have the stainless steel? I would of though they all had stainless steel refrigerators.

Hello all. Became the proud owners of 2011 Premier 31bh today. I've been reading the forum & it has been very helpful. Looking forward to getting out on the road next weekend.

A quick question. Has anyone installed the Equalizer Hitch themselves & how difficult was it.

Any advice appreciated.

Replaced the broken Lippert tongue jack with an Atwood 3500 heavy duty tongue jack 🙂 . Went camping this weekend in southeast South Dakota , new jack was fantastic :B . What a difference !!! I guess I'm going to have to pay the difference in price since its warranty work , but well worth it !! On a sadder note, we winterized Sunday before we came home, can't wait till next year !!!

Another heads-up for everyone:

Last weekend, just by chance I noticed that one of the screws that holds the bunk support to the wall had been stripped out of the wall. I think the cause is from either the wall or the support flexing and separating from each other creating about a 0.5 cm gap. They don't sit flush with each other any more. The existing screw is a #8 - 2 1/2" wood screw. I don't when it happened, but we have put over 6000 miles on our Premier so far.

I really don't want to pull the trailer back to the dealer for the warranty work so my idea for a fix is rather than trying to make a new hole for another mounting point, I would use a #10 or #12 wood screw in its place and add spacers to fill the gap between the wall and the support. I figure that should give it a solid hold in the original mounting point.

Yes, we have the same model ,and the Lippert jack is the only one used on all the Premiers I've seen. Doing some research, I found out that the jacks are made in the same town the Bullets are manufactured in. But the guts for the jacks are made in China. No, I couldn't manually overide it, I had to use the jack out of my pickup to get it hitched up. When we got home I used a floor jack to unhook trailer.
