S'mores with the 2005 LanceMax 1181 at Henry Cowell Redwoods State Park in Felton, California....does it get any better???

Wild Plum Campground is a great place with the Yuba River roaring by right outside your door. Lakes Basin area is beautiful. Great fishing at Lower Sardine, Salmon and Gold Lakes. And great hiking up to the top of the Sierra Buttes and the fire lookout station. Been there many times!

We made s'mores as well, but photos didn't turn out; too dark. However, next morning's coffee photo;

A campfire, cup of coffee and a Western by Max Brand. Now we're livin'!!



We were up at Wild Plum Campground near Sierra City, photo taken about 6:30am. Just me and a few birds who were singing their hearts out.

No, it really doesn't get any better than that. Looks like you're having a lot of fun out there. Just got back home from being gone for two months travelling the country in our truck camper so it's kind of nice to stay home this weekend.

Morgan hill from Big Basin...hwy 1 south then either 152 if you want the twisties or 129 for flat then 101 north.

Or my choice, Hwy 9 over the top all the way to Saratoga and hwy 85 south

Stay the heck off 17 after 12 noon on Monday unless you like bumper to bumper traffic all the way to Hwy 85 from Scotts Valley
