I got myself in a situation where my trailer is in a family members name and I am trying to get rid of it. They have no paperwork and are out of state and the dmv won't talk to me. They wouldn't even tell me with a picture I took which set of numbers is the vin or how long it should be?
I can do a paperless transfer but need the vin.
I was trying to google search for another similar trailer for sale or something to match up but I haven't yet and am not sure if there is a standard, etc. I just sent a picture to fleetwood, years ago they send me a pdf of my trailer layout/brochure so maybe they can help.
Anyway I have numbers/letters in this format on the tongue and was wondering if somebody might be able to tell me which series is the vin?
VIN is always 17 characters, so I would say it's the bottom set. Fleetwood towables is long gone, they only make motor homes now and all that info was chucked in the dumpster, or so I was told when I called this year trying to get info on our Terry.
