Lowering a Ram 2500 2 in.

Does anyone know how to lower a '16 Ram 2500 ? Truck sits too high. I tow a 5th wheel nose high. I can't raise 5th wheel because it is 13.5 ft tall. I tried adjusting pin box and hitch but can't get good rail clearance. A 2 in drop would really help.

If 2" is all you need to be level the I'm sure you have a lot more important things to worry about like what's for supper.

I went out and re-measured my height. Sitting level it measures 13' 3 in to the top of the front AC. the AC is full size and sits up 13 3/4 over the roof. No way I am going to raise trailer. New 2500's sit too tall.

Did you study levers in school. Raising the rear of the trailer will only slightly raise the front area where the AC is located. Drive it up on boards until it is level and check bed clearance and OA height at the front AC. Shoot of 6+ inches of bed clearance and level.

I am having the same problem with my 2018 Grand Design 337RLS and my 2018 Ram 3500 2wd CC LB. My 2004 2500 set just fine under this 5th with all level and 7 " on bed clearance. The 3500 sets 6" higher than the 2500. It seams rediculous to spend $$$ after the amount we spend for these 5th and the right truck to pull them with. UGH.

If you’re having trouble with a 2wd, it isn’t the truck, it’s the 5ver or how it’s adjusted.
The 2wd is only 2" lower than a 4x4. The hitch on the 5th is all the way down on the wings.

I'm sure that somebody makes coil springs to lower a pick up truck. Call your local spring shop or pick up any truck mag and read the ads.

Can’t help you with the Ram but I did do the same thing to my F350 this winter, installed 2” lift blocks in place of the factory 3.75” ones with some new u-bolts and totally leveled out my fiver - truck is perfectly level with the fiver’s pin weight on it and about 1” higher than the front unloaded but with the hitch and toolbox in the bed.

Hopefully you can do this to yours to help level out your setup, it’s how they should come from the factory imo.

Sure would be nice if someone from the RV industry had a conversation with the Big 3 about their constant competition as to who can make the tallest truck. RV manufacturers building new fivers with the ability to stand up right in the bedroom and truck manufacturers needing to add an inch here and an inch there for bragging rights and pretty soon one won't be able to tow the darn thing other than on an interstate.

This says it it is just under 13'. Raising the rear will raise the front AC very little.

Have you actually dropped the pin weight on the truck?
