Nash 22H, Pros and Cons

I have become interested in the Nash 22H TT. From what I can see they are well built units. Dealers in the eastern part of the USA are few and far between, so getting to actually look at one up close has not been possible. A dealer in central PA will be getting one in a few weeks so I want to take a look. There have been posts here that briefly mentioned the Nash products but nothing in depth. Are there any owners out there that have opinions of the Nash? I would like to hear them. Thanks!

I bought my new Nash 23d last October. It is the 3rd rv I've owned in 10 years. The first was a Coachman and the second was an Ameri-Camp 5th wheel. The Nash is by far the best of the 3. The fit and finish is excellent. The quality is superb. There were 2 minor blemishes that I fixed myself. The rig sits high with lots of ground clearance. So many great features. No regrets with this unit. Love it!

Thanks for the info! How is Kelly's to deal with, sales, service, etc.?

It's a nice small outfit. Started by a father, and now run by himself and his daughter. He handles the maintenace care of the RV's, and she handles the sales. They frequently are rebuilding RV's in their shop. It's obvious they know what they are doing. Very nice to work with, and their service has been great so far! Several times prior to our purchase they called Northwood in Oregon to get answers to questions I had about the RV that they didn't know. I think its pretty neat that they are the only dealer out this way. In my research I was thrilled that a Northwood dealer was a half-hour from my home! I was first only thinking about Arctic Fox, until I saw this Nash in their inventory, and it was perfect for us!

We researched quite a bit and finally purchased Dec 2012 at Kelly's in West Milton, PA (see sig). We are very happy with our Nash after two seasons! Someone mentioned weight, they are a bit heavier, but Nash changed it's build in 2012, so the Nash's after our year are different, and I think they are lighter.

We have an AF 25Y but we have friends online with Nash trailers as well. Very few complaints. It sounds like the 17 and 18's may be on their way out due to low orders on the smaller trailers. The 22H may be the new smallest trailer soon 😞

We had a Nash 24-5er for almost 10 years and really liked it. It held up to everywhere we took it and we most often camp in farmer's fields.

The only reason we traded was my arthritis made a bedroom we could stand up in an imperative.

Even with single pane windows, we were as snug as a bug through many kinds of weather.

The couch is about 67" long and 38 or 39" wide. The dinette is 72" long and 40" wide. You can probably fit 2 kids per bed... the adults better be really small or really close... maybe both!

My understanding is that the Nash products are still made with wood walls; the Arctic Fox trailers are built with aluminum walls if that is important to you. Northwood Mfg. has a very nice webpage with lots of good information.

I've only looked and read about them online, but if I really needed a 4 season trailer, they would be on my short list. As mentioned, the wood & 4 season construction make them on the heavier side, so it boils down to what size trailer do you want depending on what you plan to use for a tow vehicle. The closest floorplan to our 2201DS is in the Arctic Fox line and would add over a thousand lbs. to the dry weight. If money were no problem, I'd seriously think about a 3/4 ton truck and a nice Arctic Fox trailer....and if I were a fan of winter camping, I'd definitely look at the Nash or Arctic Fox.

You will see few negatives about Arctic Fox/Nash products and I think they are a good choice as long as you have the necessary tow vehicle and are happy with the floorpland and features you choose.

I have a 98 Nash 22H. One of the best built trailers you can buy for under $50K if you ask me. Very high quality, very well put together. This is a great floorplan for 2 people, in my opinion. We have 4 now and its too tight to be comfortable on longer trips. The huge rear bathroom is a plus. There is enough room in the front bedroom to put an RV queen if you want. I'm tall, so I bought a memory foam mattress in a true queen and just notched out a corner for the wardrobe.

Nash - Arctic Fox are very nice rigs - but they tend to be on the heavy side. I really liked my Arctic Fox but traded to a lighter weight Lance with a slide
