Finally picked up my new 2016 Aliner Expedition with hard-sided dormers. I wasn't even aware that they had made them with the hard-sided dormers but just happened to be perusing the internet and came across it. A few pics:

I believe she is an optional folding model with soft sides.:E

Not to hijack the thread, but one always has to be wary of free hosting sites. A nearby church used free web-hosting with ads. Just above the "Welcome To Our Church" was a Viagra ad. I asked the pastor if that was their church growth program.

By the way, I live only a couple of miles from the Aliner factory and they are going full blast, especially with the new models. Their biggest problem is trying to hire competent workers (like many other companies).

Yep, opened up this site with the kids around and quickly shut it down.

Yes, one does have to research the free hosting site they use, because many push porn sites as this one.

I remember years ago our church's youth minister used one of these sites for his youth groups pictures. The site had the same type of ads. My cousin gave him a scolding for not paying more attention to what he associated our church with. 🙂

Nice camper, I am finally able to look at the pics now that the kids are gone. I feel so naughty. 😛 :B

Very nice! We have a 2015 Aliner Ranger 15 with potty, the Expedition's poorer cousin. Ours doesn't have any dormers (hard sided not available on the 2015s, and we didn't want the soft-sided ones). We also have the Cool Cat (a/c, heat pump) instead of the window a/c, due to extreme heat in the south where we live/camp. We love ours!

This site doesn't like Windows 10 and MS Edge.

Avan who makes their version here under licence in Australia , has pushed this folding trailer to it's limit.
As well the company has two separate folding trailers based on different principles
Avan Aliner

Avan Ray

Avan Pop Top. They also build models under the Golf Caravans label as well.

And, thank all of you for your encouraging comments.

I bought my first camper (Aliner Scout) 2 1/2 years ago and really enjoyed it. I camp with my two mid-teen sons but they usually like to camp on their own in a tent. However, I wanted a bit more room and to start using and learning to maintain the various systems in a camper. And, while I was looking at a couple of travel trailers I really love the low tow profile of the Aliners.

I drove 1k miles out to Wisconsin to pick it up and towed it back that 1k miles without a WDH or a sway bar and it towed GREAT! Now, just have to wait until spring.

lovemytt, outside of converting the sofabed to full time use and installing an exterior satellite tv dish connector (anyone know where those can be purchased? Everything I've found is for regular cable only) I don't intend to make any changes to it.

Aliner has come a long way since my 2004 400 lb Alite. Its all about creature comforts and space. Nice that we have many choices out there, but there is never the perfect camper. Nice when we have one that we can tow and enjoy. When our family was much younger we were happy when we were able to get an umbrella tent with a sewn-in floor.

Enjoy your hard side dormers... very nice.
