well the wife and I went "looking" for truck campers at the Hershey show today. Well the "looking" turned into buying a new 2014 lance 855s with most options except genset and a few other options. We will be getting it as soon as it is in at parkview rv. we have a 2013 chevrolet 3500 srw with air bags. we traded our 08 815 in on it.

I'm with DJ WooHoooo! You lucky dog you! In about 10 years I'll be ready for my new TC and truck for retirement and still work another 3 years to pay it all off. Don't worry, I'll use the heck out of my 2010 Travel Lite 690FD until then. Again, Happy Trails you lucky dog you!

With a new 855s I would be sure to get the option for two batteries and pass on the Lance supplied Skyworth TV. We bought a new Skyworth 22" and it lasted about 2 weeks before it failed completely. Shipped it to Southern California to have it repaired under the 90-day warrant and took it on our next trip and on day 3 it failed again, only this time out of the warranty period. We replaced it with a Toshiba Combo TV/DVD as a brand X with the Skyworth or Poloroid or Jensen label has for use been a complete waste of money with all three.

we skipped the tv all together and got the two battery option. we had them add an outside acess hatch to both sides of the dinette and the factory rep that was at the hershey show said they might have to add that as a factory option

Congrats. He said he already bought it. Let's be happy with his choice as he is. I am a travel trailer guy but I love truck campers.

You can go to NH to see Eagle Cap and AF Truck Campers. Little ride, but well worth it.

Thats what I did 3 years ago (only I went to his NY location). Killed a whole day but for me it was worth it. Got a chance to see a bunch of different makes and models, and check out the overall construction. I figured if I was spending that kind of money that I needed to see as many as I could. I was glad that I made the trip.

I don't want to burst your bubble but before you pull the trigger on the. 855s you really should take a look at the eagle cap 850 and af811
We were in same boat
Put deposit on 855s
Someone who just bought 855s urged us to look at the other 2
We did
Changed our mind and got our deposit back from lance
Just sayin look at all 3 before you buy
Good luck
Bill

Unfortunately there is no dealers locally that have either one of those and none will order one to look at
