New truck is here

Had to share the good news with my RV.net friends.
Picked up the new truck this evening. I'm very pleased with the deal and the unexpected 3,000 incentive to go with the others that I knew about. So many widgets to sort out on this truck.

I imagine this will handle our new 6500 lb empty 32 foot TT with aplomb.



Very pleased with the payload. Will be able to add a golf cart in the bed in the future if so desired.

Was about 54K. I went a little overboard on the options, then the wife did the same. Honestly it was fun checking off all those options.

It was a private offer mailer direct from Ford. Oddly enough, it came in my wife's name, not mine. Perhaps Ford found out my daily driver is a Nissan product and is holding a grudge?

I've only put 14 miles on it, but I'm already impressed with the ride quality, far better than the 2016 F-250 I test drove, and also the 2018 2500 Ram Cummins I recently put about 2500 miles on a long distance trip.

Of course the Ram beat me up on the roads up North, where as the roads around here are really pretty good. I'd have to get this one on those same roads in Illinois to be a fair comparison.

Can't wait to get the breakin miles on it so I can hook up for our maiden trip with the new camper and truck.

Nice. Congrats. Saw an 2014 F250 at a dealer next door. 4x4 Lariat with ranch hand front bumper, Beautiful, 57K miles. They want $43K.

you will love it.
bought a 2017 f250 6.2 gasser crew cab this past october. so far have put about 8500 miles on it, mostly towing

love the truck and interior space. i couldn't be patient enough to order the 4.30 rear end (hard to find on a car lot) but the 3.73 handles our 7500 lb ready to camp 33 foot TT with zero problems.

with the 4.30 don't if it will make a difference but i lock out 6th gear when towing which makes for smoother shifting.

enjoy it. like someone else said, i put 500 miles on it before towing to break in

That is a beauty for sure!! It will make a great TV! For now, just cruise around, smile, and enjoy putting some break-in miles on.

Got so excited I forgot the important details, yes, correct on both accounts. I work for an O&G company in Houston, so it is in my best interest to burn my fair share of fuel.:B
