Plenty of RWD sedans still out there. Caprice/Impala, Roadmaster, Custom Cruisers, Crown Vic/similar Lincolns, 300s and it's sister Chargers, etc.
It's the baby SUVs trying to tow that scare me.

Can't say I've seen a sedan of any kind towing a TT in the US since the 70s.

Yeah what a joke, I would like to see a sedan pulling a 4000 lb trailer.

Itโ€™s done in Europe all the time. First trip to England, about 30 years ago, we saw a VW Golf pulling a 2 horse trailer. As far as Caravans (travel trailers), mostly pulled by Mercedes and Volvo estate wagons, occasionally a small truck. Werenโ€™t too many SUVs back then.

Yep. Seen good sized trailers being pulled by cars all over Europe. Camping is big there. Many are single axle but still pretty long. Axles placed for lighter tongue weights. They tend to be lower than here and more streamlined. Much nicer inside for the most part. Speed limits for towing are much lower though. Many places are max 80 kmh when towing.

Snowbird season sees a lot of north south traffic in Europe. Campgrounds are nice and well equipped.

It's a pity those Nests never caught on -- we've talked to several Nest owners, and they really loved their trailers.

But the cost was prohibitive for most folks.

Someday, someone is going to build an affordable rugged little trailer, without all the bells and whistles. That segment of the market is virtually empty right now.

I meant in real life, not a staged video. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Andy uses that Chrysler 300 for a wide variety of towing situations. They put thousands of miles each year on that and Andy's personal car, a Jaguar sedan. I've personally seen a number of sedans towing, including the Tesla Model 3, which is a great tow vehicle.

The least stable vehicle for towing a TT? Any vehicle with a live axle. SEE: American made half-ton trucks.

They had many, many issues with this trailer and still do. AS quality has gone straight down hill IMO.

- Airstream attempts to build their version of a Casita or Escape

- Airstream attempts to sell it for twice the price of a Casita or Escape

- Potential customers discover they can buy an Oliver Elite for roughly the same price as the Airstream

- Nobody buys the Airstream

Yes but the quality was great.

At that ridiculous price I can see why they are no longer in production.

The Nest is no longer in production.
It had a starting price of $45,000+
