I think it looks just as good or better than a camper strapped on the back of any other truck, pickup or whatever.
Go read the article, link to it is in earlier post. Youโre out of line, bordering on ignorant calling it a โhack jobโ, itโs a very nicely built rig.
That truck can go 20,000 pounds on its rear axle, with those tires, in the U.S. Heโs in Canada where itโs legal to go even more. The truck and those tires are easily capable of it safely. He has NO gvw issues.
Why the sleeper? It makes the truck cab a lot roomier. You can seat more than two people, you have room for stuff, and itโs an extra bed if needed or wanted.

Aren't semi's axle rated in the range of 20,000lb ?
Sure no problem with 6000 lb camper.
Aesthetic with camper have been mentioned before - in stable loads topic for example.
You want aesthetic in RV - you buy DP with zebra paint scheme on it.
I still think the above set is prettier than some new cars you seen on the roads.
Or famous Pontiac Aztek for example.

With a complete camper behind, why the need for a sleeper?
