Norcold fridge gas won't stay on

My Norcold fridge gas shuts down at various intervals for no apparent reason, gas supply and voltage seem alright, What are the various reasons the gas would just turn off on it's on and start the indicator lights flashing? I.e. Thermo couple, or computer, or what? Not getting much help from the shop it's at right now!


Just got the camper back from the shop after they fixed it,sure enuf it was the electrode that cost $17.00 and they charged me labor of $550.00 for the whole job ?!?!?,guess if I'll go back there again soon.

In our new TT we had a problem with the gas line on our days of turning everything on. Fridge wouldn't stay on with the gas. We cooked dinner on the stove in our driveway and 20 minutes of cooking seemed to have "cleared the clog" in the line. 4 years without a problem now.

As others have said, check the electrode. It must be clean and ALL THERE. This is how I found mine when one day it just stopped working. Now I carry a spare

What is the time between shut downs? All Norcold units shut down for a period every 47 hours or so (or was it 46 hours) for the cooling unit to defrost. The freezer temp in mine will increase 6-8 degrees during the time the unit is off and then it is back to cooling again. This is hard coded into the Norcold programming and can't be changed.

Spark electrode is typically also the flame proofer........milivolt signal gets sent back to circuit board proving main flame is lit.
No signal---circuit board shuts down DC to gas valve

Main flame MUST engulf spark electrode
Electrode must be clean
Electrode ceramic can't be cracked
Electrode wire contacts need to be clean/tight at both ends

One suspect would be the flame sensor.
