As I sit here in Goshen IN waiting for Jayco to fix our fiver Jayco is putting me up for the week. The motel I'm in is where many RV haulers stay when they are laying over here. What I noticed today surprised me, most of the pickups used by the haulers are Ram pickups with a few GMCs and Chevys. Only a couple of Fords here tonight. (One of them being mine) Seems to me that ford has done a pretty good job of ruining their name in the RV hauler industry.

Something about drinking overpriced coffee instead of finding the best valued coffee that tastes good? It's surprising how branding affects one's sense to choose, but I do appreciate the expensive taste drinkers keeping my local economy thriving.

I think that the $1 coffee at McDonald's is comparable to the $3 coffee at Starbuck's. You would see me sipping coffee at Dunkin' Donuts if there were any in my area...

All the coffee drinkers that drive Fords are at the McDonalds because after the repair bills that's all they can afford.:S:)

Seems to be very regional. In this area Ford far outnumbers the other 2, especially in the 250/2500 and 350/3500.
And as mentioned above, check regularly. There are days when I see more GMs and/or Rams on the road and you may get the impression they may be the leader, but over the long haul there will be far more Fords seen in this area.

When I travel down I-10 I notice Ford Super Duty's outnumber the GM and RAM trucks hands down.

Heck I still see more 6.0 psd powered trucks than the '10-current RAMs.

In addition I seen last year (3) 6.7 RAMs broke down (2) on I-10 with 5vers and (1) in Bass Pro parking lot with coolant dripping down side of the engine.

It all depends on what your looking for. Heck, I was on I-10 thru Louisiana and Texas to Houston a month ago and all I saw was Dodges (all years). Even saw a beat up '80s Dodge dually pulling a travel trailer. Maybe there were Fords, but since I can't stand them, I wasn't looking for them. I think any of these "scientific" findings are skewed.

Many people who deliver rv's for a living are retirees working on a very low profit margin. Most of the vehicles that they use in the business are purchased used to keep costs as low as possible, especially with the high cost of fuel. The Cummins engines are reliable powerplants, and when combined with the lower purchase price of the Dodge truck, and when combined with the lower purchase price of the Dodge truck, is probably the reason more are seen at the manufacturers lots. If you ever see these couples delivering to dealers, stop and have a chat with them, you will find it quite interesting. The new Dodges are nice trucks. The Italians have done a very good job turning the company and products around.

Actually Ford diesels (Pre 6.7) probably have the poorest resale value
of them all.

Maybe there's no fords in the parking lot is because they all are on the road delivering the trailers.lol. Just my 2 cents. Fords are dominat here in my campground that I'm at now. (Algonac state park, mi)

Must have changed since last weekend. The majority of trucks in the wagon wheel were GM.

Interesting that you say that... I purchased a 05 RAM for our Farm/Ranch and I've spent more $$$ on that truck in a little over a year than my 05 Super Duty with the infamous 6.0 psd for 7 years and ~170k miles.

And I thought by buying a pre EGR truck (05 RAM)I was getting a great truck. :R At least it has a manual tranny so I won't have to deal that 48RE. :W
