I stated truck in my sig was my retirement truck, BUT, with one last hoorah, THIS will be my "retirement" truck. Just ordered a 2016' Ram 3500 DRW/CC/LB/4X4/Cummins/Aisin/4.10 in Longhorn trim and Pearl White...won't have two tone..went with monotone and chrome bumpers. Also added the rear air assist..just because. So I guess now I wait and hope everything works out OK.

Thought I'd share and ready for any of the flack I'll get from this:B

I pulled several 7% grades on I 77 and I 64 and the truck really towed the TH quiet easily.. Never got out of the mountains, so 8.3 mpg with only, at the time, around 1,000 miles on the truck, was pretty good I thought.

So I see I need to get with my buddies in here to see where I need to stay when in your "neck of the woods":)

Have a good day y'all

Sounds like a nice trip! 8.anything isn't bad at all for mountain driving towing that much weight. When I was younger I used to drive all day. Now 300-350 miles in a day is plenty. Then I'm ready to stretch out with a cold Margarita and burn a steak on the WeberQ. Wishing you the best!

I'm going with the 300-350 miles a day..if I can handle it...I'm still getting sore in my neck and upper back...just hoping some of the pain will eventually go away, and I get my left arm "mostly" back

Take care buddy

That's true! Left Elk city, OK in January it was COLD with 40mph head winds. Traveled 75mph just to get the HE!! out of there and back to warmer weather in SoCal.

Nothing wrong with that mileage especially with more up than down and the drivetrain is still very tight. When you head West and get on some flat highways you will be near 11mpg.

Got to admit I'm tired...been pretty up here on theGreenbriar River...love the mountains..will leave camper here till after I retire and head, south, south west or west come October, November...looking forward to putting a face to some of my friends out there.. Everyone have a great day.

Hope the mileage will be better, but at 44' 7" long and loaded now to a little over 17K and all towing in the mountains, didn't think 8.3 was that bad...it's more uphill going from TN to WV...I'd do better going back.

Later,
