I stated truck in my sig was my retirement truck, BUT, with one last hoorah, THIS will be my "retirement" truck. Just ordered a 2016' Ram 3500 DRW/CC/LB/4X4/Cummins/Aisin/4.10 in Longhorn trim and Pearl White...won't have two tone..went with monotone and chrome bumpers. Also added the rear air assist..just because. So I guess now I wait and hope everything works out OK.

Thought I'd share and ready for any of the flack I'll get from this:B

I am sure some with heavy RV's and the standard rear suspension could be low but with the rear air ride the truck is sitting level. Optical contusion!

Personally I don't see it on the newer RAM's but sure do with the Ford's.

Jim those numbers make MUCH more sense now. Mine with 7/8 tank fuel my self and wife no toolbox or hitch front 5,380# rear 3,634#. No need to worry about the 14K that number is for licensing and insurance purposed.

Bottom line leave your hitch full forward, you will never be over front/rear or combined weights with that beast!

CONGRATS JIM, not everyday that one gets a new truck, and then hooks up to a beautiful new FW too!!

The earlier post by Greg were a bit confusing, but was obviously your rig. I understand your being tired, and glad it wasn't a more serious issue.

I sure was glad to see that truck turn white, as the loud lime green pics did not fit the Jim I read about on the forum lol!

I'm sure we'll get to see new pics later, take care!

Yep..I like the front grill on our's, as well as the tail gate..Don't much care for the Limited's front grille OR it's tailgate.

I kinda like the newer limited grill...thinking about buying one to put on my 15.

Hey guys, was kind of wore out yesterday..first time I've towed since August 10th, 9 days before I had my stroke...My left leg, I found out, is still weak and the left arm/hand is still a work in progress. The truck towed like a dream...I was in "alternate trailer height " with the rear air assist , when pictures were taken...rear end drops a little over an inch to accommodate hooking up...No chucking, an extremely smooth ride.

The CAT scale weight with no trailer didn't even have me in the truck:E...I had to get out of the truck and stand on my tip toes to ask to be weighed and before I could get back in my truck, I was told, OK...come in and get your ticket...:R...so first scaled weight was truck with toolbox in bed and probably 100# of tools, full fuel and DEF tank and the hitch, BUT no me, no wife and no 2 boxers, ( bout 135# of dogs), so truck when hooked to the TH ALSO, had the addition of the wife, our two boxers....and me in the cab..TH pretty much full, even both gas tanks full, but no toys ..may add a couple hundred more pounds, but I'm still under my trucks GCWR OF 14K, and WELL UNDER GCWR by 13K.

I could "feel" the extra 50ftlb of TQ when going up mountains...truck is quieter than my 13'....believe rear air assist made it smoother,,, hitch is 2" forward of axle and at middle height setting..I had over 8" of distance between TH And truck bed rails. Best I've had...I could go center of axle and drop hitch in bed to low position, but on paved level road, everything looked level..pics are at dealership on graveled road, Wasn't really level...rear air assist is the cat's meow:B

I'm kinda beat and sore....later y'all

Thanks for all the compliments and thanks to Greg, my buddy who posted all the pics..a great friend:B

Jim.

Jim,

Your new truck and FW look great. You must have been super excited to be taking pictures at night. ๐Ÿ™‚ I know the feeling.

Your truck arrived fast, mine took 9-1/2 weeks.

My last truck was white, so I got something different this time.

My FW should arrive in early May. I can't wait. My first dually and my first FW. :B

Enjoy your new toys.

Very nice set up for the OP. I still don't understand every new Ram that the owners show have the tail dragging. Not a complaint but nice to be level. enjoy the new truck and fifth.

Larry NC's does look low but that can be deceiving. Curious do you think my truck sits low?

Dang my truck looks old.

OK Jim you really have pizzed me off now! I was hoping to get a couple years on this one before you out did me AGAIN!

The truck is a bEAUTY and I am VERY happy for you. Can't wait till our rigs are side by side at a nice campground and we are sitting around the campfire telling "FISH" stories. 7/29/16 will be here very soon.

I would attach the break away cable to one of the back hitch pucks. I have popped my cable when it was attached there.

Who's truck in the above pics?
Must be NC's.

Something is not right with the numbers. Too little front axle weight solo. No way that RV added that much weight to the front axle. The loaded weight is about right.
