Hey guys, was kind of wore out yesterday..first time I've towed since August 10th, 9 days before I had my stroke...My left leg, I found out, is still weak and the left arm/hand is still a work in progress. The truck towed like a dream...I was in "alternate trailer height " with the rear air assist , when pictures were taken...rear end drops a little over an inch to accommodate hooking up...No chucking, an extremely smooth ride.
The CAT scale weight with no trailer didn't even have me in the truck:E...I had to get out of the truck and stand on my tip toes to ask to be weighed and before I could get back in my truck, I was told, OK...come in and get your ticket...:R...so first scaled weight was truck with toolbox in bed and probably 100# of tools, full fuel and DEF tank and the hitch, BUT no me, no wife and no 2 boxers, ( bout 135# of dogs), so truck when hooked to the TH ALSO, had the addition of the wife, our two boxers....and me in the cab..TH pretty much full, even both gas tanks full, but no toys ..may add a couple hundred more pounds, but I'm still under my trucks GCWR OF 14K, and WELL UNDER GCWR by 13K.
I could "feel" the extra 50ftlb of TQ when going up mountains...truck is quieter than my 13'....believe rear air assist made it smoother,,, hitch is 2" forward of axle and at middle height setting..I had over 8" of distance between TH And truck bed rails. Best I've had...I could go center of axle and drop hitch in bed to low position, but on paved level road, everything looked level..pics are at dealership on graveled road, Wasn't really level...rear air assist is the cat's meow:B
I'm kinda beat and sore....later y'all
Thanks for all the compliments and thanks to Greg, my buddy who posted all the pics..a great friend:B
