Our 1996 Lance will be 20 years old in March. Anyone else buy a new truck camper and keep it that long?

Bought our 2000 Lance 1030 in May 2004 from private seller. Don't plan on getting rid of it any time soon. Many road trips, most recent was to Yellowstone N.P. in Sept.
Try to keep it clean & maintained. So far,so good.

My lance is June 1994. Everything works and is original. Recently upgraded to electric jacks. It should last till I cant drive anymore. It is a squire 4000. Can tow without an extension.

To have a frig that still works after 20 years, that's unheard of now days.My frig will blow out some times if it is windy and a semi fly's by.

Congratulations. I do have a couple of questions? Did you ever have to replace your roof, and have you had to replace your frig.My Lance will be 6 years old and just wondering how long things last.

Had to fix a 4" hole in the roof when a big pine branch came down on it like a lawn dart. My roof is aluminum; me thinks it will out last it's owner.

The Dometic frig is still working fine (except for the pilot blowing out going down the highway, never could fix that). I am surprised it is still working; the frig in our last travel trailer lasted about 8 years before it started leaking ammonia.

I own a couple that are older, but the longest I've had one will be ten years on the KIT.

I didn't have a TC, but purchased a new 1984 Rockwood popup used it and sold it after 21 years. It helped that I stored it indoors.

My TC is 10 years old according to the manufactured date. I think it should make 10 more with no issues if the last 10 are any indicator.

Congrats on 20!

Ours doesn't quite qualify, it's built in January of 1998. So it's called a'99 . We just purchased it,we're the second owners.

Slumber Queen, Western Canada RV, had been building the same model,810WS for 20 years when they built ours. Adventurer, same company, same owners, different name were still building it in 2013.

We looked at a new one when we were picking up parts. There are improvements but not enough to warrant the slightest envy.

Next summer when I repair the rot and reseal, it will be better than new.

I did not buy it new, but I bought my 1988 (March) Bigfoot in April of 2004. I am the second owner. It is now 26 years old, and has no problems. I have all the goodies on it that I want nothing else I want to add. I paid $1000 and added another $7000 on upgrades.

Mine is 15 years old (November 2000). Owned since day 1. Still a solid camper. Routine maintenance goes along way.
