Question regarding a 95 Starcraft 1021 (roof lock)

Hi,

We just bought this pop-up used... It's great but I have only one question,

I don't see any way of locking the side that hold the roof up... is this normal? My friend has a recent one and she needs to lock them...

I can't get in touch with the previous owner for a couple of weeks and I need to know before then.

I didn't think about it when we saw it open and it was already closed when we picked it up.

I can't find anything on the net and I want to make sure before we sleep in it.

Thanks for your help...

Martine

Are you referring to a lock to hold the roof up when deployed? If so I'm not sure if any manufacturer offers them. The door on my Coleman and the cranking/lift system are what holds it all up.

If it concerns you I guess you could buy a piece of 2 x 2 lumber from Home Depot or Lowes and cut it to stand up next to the roof posts. Paint it white and use a few bungee cords to make sure it stands up vertical. Heck you can even measure the length needed and have the board cut at the store for probably an extra dollar.
