so on rear, if weight is 6500 then I would only need to go with the 70 psi,
do I read this correct. I could go higher, but not lower

#1, your chart spacing looks great in the edit mode!!

#2. You hit the nil on the head, nice chart at least in edit mode.

a little disappointed with firestone
my ram came with the TransForce HT tires. when I looked online, it shows these as light to medium truck tire.
I went to firestone website to get the weight/inflation charts, and could not find one. ended up with a online chat. after answering a dozen questions, am told she cant help.
firestone is worthless.
anyone know where I can get the weight/inflation charts

Just type in your tire size and weight/inflation chart in a search. All tires your size and load rating have the same info.

Most people over inflated rears and under inflate fronts that is why most get 40K on a set.

But we want it to ride like a soft sprung Furd!

ZACTLT!

On 3rd gen take offs I would easily get 100k with proper inflation and 15-20K rotation.

I bought the below tires and wheels off a 2010 SRW RAM with 40K I have put 40K on them. The fronts had edge wear and the rears had center wear. They have even tread wear at this time. So this set of BFG Rugged trail will easily get 90k instead of 100+ because of uneven tread wear for the first 40K. Stamped date code (4210).

I run a little over 60 up front and 80 rear. Unloaded I'll drop the rear back to around 60, although if I'm towing again soon I'll just leave it at 80

At 60 lbs inflation the LT275/70R18E is rated at 3020 or 6040 for the front axle. My front axle on our 2015 RAM 3500 SRW 4x4 CC SB has weighed between 5100 to 5250 depending on loading. So it would appear that 60 is fine in the front. I put 80 in the rear for towing and 48 or so bobtail.

Front axle weight varies very little between towing and non towing.

I would run what the Tires say on the sidewall when loaded, if empty and going back and forth to work I would go down a little.

I think you'll find that with that much weight on the front, your truck will handle better with 70 PSI or more in the fronts.
Either way, I would weigh the front of the truck with the fiver attached because I suspect you are overloading the fronts with only 60 psi in them and a big trailer in tow. Then use the tire manufacturers specs to select the correct pressure.

60 front, is good as the front axle weight doesn't change much with a 5th wheel.

11,200# 5er, that doesn't matter so much as what your rear axle weight is when loaded for towing and the capacity of your tires at 80 psi.

I pull an 11,200# 5er with my 2001 Ram 2500, I run the rears at 65 to 70 psi, loaded. I carry 5,500# on my rear axle, tires (camper package) 265/75-16E 3,414# ea, or 6,830# total capacity, I am 1,300# under the tires capacity at 80 psi. So running at 80 psi my rears would be over inflated for the load, reducing TRACTION!

I also drop the rears to 45 psi empty.
