Replacing escape hatch

Have any of you replaced your escape hatch. I bought a new dome but can't get the old one off the track. It looks like it should just slide off. Any hidden screws? Any suggestions? This is on a 2001 Lance 815

Thanks for the replies. No name on the old one, ordered a hengs replacement. After struggling with the old one for 3 hours and bending the heck out of the screen frame (that needs re screening anyway) I decided to send the cover back and just order a whole new frame assembly I found on sale.. Price difference of about 20 bucks! Needed to be recaulked as well. I think I will also coat the new one! So....Any tips for replacing the frame...caulk..weatherstripping etc... Good news is while on the roof for so long I spied some potential caulk failure and fixed that.

Had mine coated with Line- X years ago because any plastic exposed to sunlight tends to deteriorate. 12 years now and still strong.

Just did mine, there was a screw on one end. Tuff to get off. Used a old screwdriver and tapped for quite awhile as it moved, finally came off.

On my 2004 815 I had to straighten the end tabs. They were bent so it couldn't slide off.

What brand is the escape hatch?
Does it have extruded aluminum hinge? If yes, there should be small screws on each end of the hinge. They can be hard to get off as the aluminum sizes to each half.
