Hi all first post. My wife and I just bought our first trailer and will pick it up next week. We have been looking for about a year for the right one and found it in this 3008. However I about got sick when I found a consumer report about Forrest River and the problems that many seem to be having with them and their units. Funny thing though I didn't see any on the Windjammer.
We paid a lot of money for this trailer and sure hope we didn't make a huge mistake. Like any new anything there will be some issues but I sure hope I don't have what many that I read did.
We are in Alberta and sure hope that we will have many years of trouble free use from our dream trailer. So we are hoping to hear more good than bad but want to hear your experience with a Windjammer 3008.

I to take a lot of what is said on these consumer reports with a grain of salt. It's just that being from Canada we paid more than what you would in USA and we just got freaked out reading it considering our original budget of $15,000 sort of got near tripled.

For the record every purchase I made that was suggested by consumer reports was the worst P.O.S. and I never give them a glance now. Also, the reason Forest River, Keystone, and Jayco often get attention for customer service complaints is that there are far more owners of those brands than most other brands combined. And the happy owners don't feel the need tto get on the 'puter and write about it.

Fair enough I will check that out. As far as the salesman or any of the other dealer staff I can't say enough about them as they especially the salesman were great.

Usually are prior to/during sale......

Hopefully they will continue to be 'great' after the sale should issues arise.

When you do the 'delivery inspection'.......take notes, video it, ask lots of questions, do NOT rush, make detail list of items you find that need fixed......get them fixed, check out ALL systems......fridge, stove/oven, water pump, toilet, furnace, A/C unit, slides, lights, outlets (take a small lamp/fan to check them), do NOT rush....take your time and have them them explain everything 2--3 times.

Do some driveway/local camping......make more notes of things you find not working/not correct.
Good luck!
Is it time for your medication or mine?
