RVTrader No Response

Hi All, Not sure if this is the forum for this. I could not see one it related to specifically so I am putting it here as I am still looking for a TC. Anyway, every time I try to contact a private seller about a TC through RVtrader I get absolutely no response for both new and older listings. Is there a problem with the site? What's up with that? I'm assuming the listers are not getting their messages or the ads are not legit. I also contacted rvtrader, no response. Thoughts?

People create fake profiles on FB all of the time. Also, it means that you can only sell to someone with a FB profile. That being said, I’ve bought stuff on FB marketplace, but then, I have a FB account.

I will still dual list stuff on CL and FB marketplace but pretty soon I will probably just do FB as much as I hate it.

problem with CL and FB is search large areas for a specific item. However luckily there is searchtempes for CL. Hopefully someone will something like that for FB marketplace.

Well, I sent a seller a message today and got an instant response answering a specific question. So much for the 24 hours needed. Maybe people just don't respond.

I just got off the phone with them. They said the messages you send to sellers are put on a hold for 24 hours or so then the seller usually responds within 48 hours from there. I was waiting over a weekended so she said that is the delay. However, I contacted other sellers before and never got a response at all. She asked if she would like me to do a one time courtesy call to the seller. I declined. It seems like a big disservice to the seller because there was a camper I would've bought at the drop of a hat but now I got my eye on something else because of the delay. LOL

Nope. I even emailed their support. Nothing. There were two campers I would've bought days ago. Oh well.

I got quite a few responses when I listed our Minnie travel trailer on RV Trader and wouldn't hesitate to use it again if looking to purchase or sell an RV. Because a few folks listing their gear don't respond to contacts doesn't mean that the site isn't an effective sales tool.

I read the other day that Facebook Marketplace is beginning to take over the classified ad world. More and more folks are using Facebook marketplace to sell their items.

That being posted I also hear complaints from friends that is is tough to get anyone to respond. Contractors, plumbers, handypeople, sellers, buyers...etc don't seem to respond to messages or calls

Lack of response becomes today's standards.
I have the same with craigslist and ebay sellers.
When ebay is nagging the sellers for response, CL sellers can have 3 emails/texting to no response.
Eventually 3rd phone call they will answer "ah,.. my CL listing, I forgot all about it"

WA and OR aren't any closer lol, but there's a pile of them here too.
IDK about RV trader, but thye're classified adds.
Recently sold a car on CL. Add up for a couple months, dropped the price a couple times, only tire kickers and scammers. Then all of a sudden I had 3 serious buyers within 2 days when I re-listed it. Luck of the draw sometimes.

Yes, Colorado seems to be the Mecca for TCs. However, I am in FL. That's a trip to make once I have the TC 🙂

I am glad this post came up because this fall I could be selling my Northern Lite, so now I know not to use RV Trader.
