Scan Guage

Has anyone installed a Scan Gauge on a 2004.5 Dodge CTD?
I tried the Torque app with an ODB reader,it only "halfway" works,so I'm thing of ordering the Scan Gauge. Cummins seems to be different from the Ford or GM products.
Thanks for any advice.

I have a GMC 2013 so would be interested in what they have to say. I don't have a scan gauge but have been considering one.

I had one in my 07.

I helped them develop the trans temp and boost pressure (in psi) codes for it.

I had mine set to display rail pressure, trans temperature, boost, and coolant temp.

What about the Torque App only "halfway works"? Did you get the in app purchase that gives you full control of everything? It's an extra $10.

I had a scangauge two in my truck worked very well.

Then I decided to buy the edge Insite which is a gauge and scan tool only no tuning. The scan portion is much better than the scangauge and it also has more features that the scangauge and the display is really nice.

If you are wanting EGT's you may need to get an edge insite and install a EGT probe.

I use the dash command app for my OBD2 needs and it works great.

Take a look at the Edge Insight. A bit more spendy, but expandable to include egt's and a back up camera.

have you research custom Pid's for the torque app? That can help greatlu. I hear of people constantly a having to get custom pid's for their specific vehicles.
