Man, I hate to be in the majority, but yep, Bilsteins are the way to go.

Nearly 5 years and 85K my fronts are doing well. Would have them on the rears but they don't make them for factory rear air ride. I will say my OE US Made shocks are good.

Bilsteins. Did that on my 04 at 10k miles should have done it sooner. Switched to Bilsteins at about 1K miles on my 2015 duramax.

The 04 now has 250K miles on it and the bilsteins are still working well.

WAY WAY WAY better than the factory shocks, which IMHO have very poor damping characteristics with an unloaded truck and even worse when towing.

Can't go wrong with Bilstein shocks. I'm happy with my 1500's, but some guys prefer the 4600's. Both series have the same valving/dampening, the main difference is that 5100 is intended for lifted trucks.

Been using Bilsteins for over 15 years, no complaints.

Bilstien yellow and blue. My OEM shocks were very underdamped with 0 miles. I replaced them at 50k, now have 130k. Great improvement!

bilsteins.

Did that at 10,000 miles on my 04, when I got the 2015, tossed the stock shocks within 1k miles. Improvement in both cases was amazing. the stock shocks have very poor compression/rebound valvings.

better ride and handling unloaded, or fully loaded at 10,000 gross towing a 30 ft tt with 1500lbs on the tongue.
