Size of slide outs

I seem to be having a hard time finding specs on the size (depth) of slide outs on the trailers I am looking at online.
I have gone tomanufacturerr sites and pulled up PDF's with specs, but all I get is OA length and usually they have a width of 8 ft. But do not show the OA WITH the slide out extended.
knowoe they vary a bit, but can anyone give me an idea of what they typicallyly are?

The practical limit of a slide is 42" which is the internal depth. That ends up being 46" with the outside wall and the internal valence section. Which is within a couple inches of half the trailer width when closed.

Those really deep ones are almost always very light compared to the average 30" slides with heavy items like the fridge and kitchen.

No typical widths. It depends a lot on what's in the slide.

I have one at 30" and one at 24" to deal with different space problems. I have seen slides as shallow as 12" holding a shallow piece like a bookcase, and as deep as the width of a single bed, but seldom the full width of a twin.

We have 2 slides
Living room/dining room is 12 feet long x 36" deep so when out our living area is about 11'w x 12'L plus what is not in slide area.
bedroom slide is 8'long x 24" deep so when out area is about 10'w x 8'L not including what is not in slide area.

My slide is 3'x13'. there is no standard. Some makers do post slide depth in their brochures.

We are just shy of 14 feet outside measurements when everything is open.

There is no real 'typical' depth since slide outs, like much in the RV industry, are unregulated. The most I would say is there is a 'tendency' towards certain depths but these may vary from one manufacturer to another as they jockey for bragging rights when it comes to interior space. Variances also come with trailer type and whether or not they (claim to be) 'regular' or 'lite, with the former typically having the deeper slides.

Just my 2 cents based on poring over many brochures of many trailers over the years.

Measured mine.

Living area opposing slides

Dining / Entertainment Slide - 43" from trailer wall to extended slide wall
Sofa / Fridge / Stove Slide - 28 1/2 "

There is an awning on the Dining Slide (curb side) which add 5 1/2 inches to the clearance needs.

That gives me a total external width of 14 ft 6 inches for clearance.

But my bedroom slide is 39 1/2 inches wide - so I actually need 15'7" unless I angle the TT into a site.

I also need that width 9 feet 10 inches above ground level.

In general "deep slides" tend to be about 42" deep. Normal slides 30" deep. Bedroom slides with a bed run about 40" deep and closet slides about 24" deep.

WE have opposing slides in living room.
Long slide is 42" deep. Short slide is 30" deep.
Living room is 2' wide with slides in........very tight and narrow BUT is 14' wide when the slides are open

They vary from 18" to around 42" deep. When I open up, I have a slide on each side so I'm about 14-15' wide. The bunkhouse slide and main slide almost touch when they are both in, so I almost double in size when they are out. The closet slide in the master suite is the narrowest I have around 2' deep.

Bunkhouse slide is about 38" deep and main slide is about 42" if I remember right. Never really measured. Height, as in a low branch is normally my biggest issue.
