Storage blocks

Storage spot for my TC, is unlevel. About four inches, side to side.

Without blocking, the jacks don't extend far enough to get the camper off the truck. The camper has a couple inches clearance on one side, and still sits on truck bed on the other.

I have used 2 X 12's, stacked up, (two high one one side, five high on the other) to compensate for height difference. Over time the 2 by's crack and need to be replaced. Then, I tried Lynx (plastic) leveling blocks. They too, over one winter of storage, have weathered, warped, or cracked.

Is there such a thing as a lite weight (keyword lite) blocking material, that will stand up to the weight and weather?

Something ready made, or, something I could make?

The first place that we stored our TC was a dirt lot with a similar problem. I asked the property owner if I could level it with some road mix gravel. He was fine with it. It only took one pickup load to level it. As an added bonus, we no longer had to deal with mud in our spot.

I agree with the jack extensions. I had them on one TC, and never had any issues with them. They are pretty simple to make, and they bolt on. I do not know if you can still buy them or not.

Go see Bruce at LBM Trailers and Hitches on GBR, just North of Belvidere.

He has some jack extensions you may be able to use.
