Suggestions on finding a new TT?

Searching for a new TT is pretty challenging when you consider the wide variations in builds and weights.
Can anyone suggest a manufacturer that might have something close to what I'm looking for?

We currently have a 2008 Keystone Cougar 29BHS.
We'd like something similar in size. Maybe with an outdoor kitchen, and possibly with a second slide.

That being said though we'd really prefer to stay fairly close in terms of weight. I just tend to be conservative on pushing the towing limits and such.

Number for the Keystone I've found are Dry Weight 6,100 and Hitch Weight of 870.

Any suggestions that would help narrow down my search would be really appreciated.

We do have a Coachmen Apex. Two years with no problems. Had the 279rlss for the last two years. Been from Maine to NC with no issues. Just traded it on the Apex 289tbss. Liked the full super slide in the living area and the jackknife couch in the bunk room along with three bunks. The Apex 300 has two slides but the living area slide only goes out about 18 inches and the bunk room has a futon instead of a couch. It's like ice cream. Everyone likes there own flavor. When it's your money you buy what you like. No wrong choices.

Yes, I saw that the main slide doesn't go very far. Haven't been in one yet to see how that affects the actual space.
Will look into the other model you mentioned.

In our area there are a lot of RV shows coming up in the next few months. I think it is fun to go to a show where you can see many different types and compare without driving all over the place and wasting time. Also we like to see the campers up close as opposed to looking at pictures on line. I suggest going to a show, you will get a lot of bang for your buck.

Keystone Bullet Premier 31BHPR. Slightly longer but has outdoor kitchen, 2nd entry door direct into bathroom, and 2nd slide in bunkhouse. Ours is 6400lbs delivered weight with all options. We're 7600lbs loaded for a 2 week trip, family of 4. Tongue weight is 910lbs. It's the lightest tt of that size we have seen. Quality is good, no problems in 3 years ownership.

I'll check it out. Thanks. Just stand heavier than ours but not too much.

I'd look at Jayco which seems to have the most models out there.

Some of those look good, thanks.

I like the 3150BH, but it's quite a bit heavier...almost 1400 lbs.
Lower hitch weight but the overall weight is more.

You already have a TT so you know three things have to match.

Most of the TT have about the same quality level. The high dollar units seem a bit better.

Our personal preference is easy access to the bed, big bath, closet and pantry space, yet small enough to wind through street to find a quilt shop.

This is true. The hardest part is finding the weight numbers. Most dealers don't list these so I have to then pull up manufacturer pages.

From what I've found recently the Coachmen...specifically Apex are lighter than most.

I might have found something that fits the criteria. Anyone know anything about Coachmen Apex line?

Looks like they have a double slide out with outdoor 300BHS and less weight that our Cougar.
