I built our TT just the way we wanted it and for a purpose that we use it for. I had a commit posted on you tube about how I should have built it. I don't understand How somebody can criticize the person that has a enough experience to build this and not think it had been thought out. Any way it reminds me how many people will tell the welder how to weld when hes the guy with the welder.Any way heres the commit as posted Really

"good job i guess. well put together but why go through all that to make a cookie cutter bs travel trailer you can buy. disappointing it was not more unique. like more homey materials .? and built more self sustainable, rain catch ,solar, compost toilet ect. the way it was built limits it to lame ass rv parks for power and sewage. once again well built but the world need to be away with anything cookie cutter".

If such comments like what was said on your YouTube channel bother you that much then I think you have some bigger problems that you need to address to yourself. Everyone is different and we all have different ideas, opinions, thoughts , likes, and dislikes. No biggie , just remember that you built it for you that's all .. I used to register my car in car shows , some loved it and some thought I was crazy for putting 6k wheels on my car. Its life .

You know the saying, "Opinions are like.........."

Some people are too think headed to understand that their way isn't the only way, it's just their way. What's right for them, doesn't fit everyone else and everyone else is not an idiot just because they don't agree.

I like things my way but am intelligent enough to know that my way fits me and maybe no one else. Thats ok, in fact, thats great. Makes it interestign to see what others do and what they like. Sometimes my way gets tweaked because of something I think is great someone else did that I observed.

Wow! You did a wonderful job! The guy who commented probably didn't even notice that you used screws instead of staples and veneered plywood instead of paper covered press board. It may look like an assembly line trailer but it sure isn't built like one!

I assume you posted the video. Once you post something on the internet it is fair game for everyone. There is no rule on the internet that says you can only comment if you agree with what was posted. This kind of reminds me of a thread a few months back where someone was posting all the steps they were taking to build an adapter to connect their 30 amp RV to a 50 amp plug. They told about where they bought the ends, how much the wire cost, asked for advice how to wire it correctly and then someone posted (or you could buy this for $15.00 at Walmart photo of a standard 30/50 adapter). Maybe their comments had some merit. If you didn't want any comments, don't post it.

Bingo. Some folks will ohh and ahh....some will honestly offer constructive criticism and good ideas based on the fact that you may not have thought of everything. Others are just nuts.

Not sure what you were expecting from a site like YouTube.\

Forgot to add that you did an impressive job on that build, quite the labor of love!

Well I didnt see your video, and I would say he can keep his two cents he might neeed them when he does his own.
What you built is for you! not me not the next poster or any to follow but for you. As long as you and the family are happy that is all that matters.
I am sure once you use it a few zillion times you might think of something to add or remove to the next one.

I think one can "disable comments" on youtube videos-I suggest you do that. It takes a mighty thick skin to put up with some of the jerks that just post snarky stuff for their own pleasure!

I remember my parents telling of being in their rig and the conversation would come about to locations. While quietly telling of their actual experience, invariably the camp boor would interrupt the story to tell his "wish to go there" or how he had "a friend that went there".

Be proud of your accomplishment, and just reply "When you build yours, please call me so I can check out how yours goes together to get ideas for my next one."

Just delete his ignorant comment. There are always more people who are good at criticizing than good at actually doing something. 😉

His opinion is only worth as much as you paid for it. You built what you wanted. If he wants something else, let him do it. Just took a look at your video and FWIW - no charge for this opinion - I like it! Of course, you'll probably miss the opportunity to tighten a dozen or so screws missed at the mfg or tweak other things, but that's the breaks. Nice job, excellent price, pride of doing a good job, lots of great camping trips coming up. I wouldn't invite this person to join in the fun....he needs to be busy building his own camper.
