Are you asking about the slinky for the outside dump valve? Than yes, that's fine. If your trying to conjoin the plumbing inside the RV, don't do it...

X2....

Stinky stuff first, followed by a soapy "clean" dump that helps to clean the hose. I typically go back to the black (weight shift on trailer gives a bit more) then hit the gray a 2nd time as well.

I think we all use the same drain hose BUT the usual procedure is to dump the Black Tank then rinse out the hose with discharge from the Gray Tank(s).

Are you doing something unusual with the drain? Most come from the factory set up to use a single drain.

Way back (as in a few decades), it wasn't uncommon to dump the gray water on the ground but it's been a long time since that was considered acceptable. You may have a seperate gray water tank but that is more a convienece for plumbing as the kitchen sink may be well removed from the toilet, so it's easier to set up a second tank close to it and then plumb the outlets together.

Most trailers have a single, joined grey and black output using a single hose. It matters not.
