You would think all you have to worry about with 30 ft TT is break in's. You do not have a big enough lock on tongue. I had the big Gorilla Guard lock on mine but the bad guys must have really wanted my unit. I still have lock, but no camper. I have suggested to all who I meet to remove wheels from one side of camper. Apparently this is only thing that will stop some people.

Like anything, if they want it bad enough, they'll find away to get it. Problem is, most passers by, when they see someone by a travel trailer with a truck, just assume they they are the rightful owners and never bat an eye.

Off topic... but when we shoot propane tanks we put a lit flare beside the tank. Normally (but not always) a bullet alone won't ignite a tank, but the leaking propane can easily find an ignition source... so be careful 🙂

I've seen some Rv's with a heavy chain through the wheel rims and around the suspension. Don't know if that will work totally but it is a start.

Wire up a horn or siren to the brake lights , have a kill switch hidden in the trailer . Place the horn somewhere hard to get to . IF the trailer is stolen and they use the plug everytime they hit the brakes the siren will go off . Now if you are good with electronics , you could use a latching solonoid attached a battery and it wont go off at all .

I never thought of someone stealing a trailer. I do know that there is some organized crime element that steals motorhomes and uses them for their criminal enterprise HQ. Our company rehabbed one, couldn't tell if they were making drugs, filming porn or running an identity theft ring; The dealer said there's only 7 different keys to get into the units and start them. So I'm interested to hear more about security
