Cleaning old school canvas

My PUP is from 1983 and has actual old school canvas, not that plasticy stuff that more modern PUPs have that people also call canvas (not sure what the material is called). What's the best way to clean old school canvas?

Do I need sway bar

I just got a new F150 w/ tow package, built in sway and trailer brake. I have an Equalizer hitch that has the sway bars. Will I still need the bars, or will the built in be enough? My TT is 5,044 lbs. The truck is rated at 9,200.
