Toddler Proof Bunk Ideas?

Good Evening, We are looking for some ways to create our bunks safe for our toddler to sleep. We have a 3 year old and 15 month old. The 3 year old is no problem. Anyone have any creative ideas or solutions they've done or seen? We currently have his pack n play where the dinette goes during the day and in the living room at night. This makes for early bed times for us parents. Hoping to get some good ideas so he can sleep in the bunk so we can enjoy the evening and go out the camper while the kids sleep. Thanks

Our previous TrailCruiser hybrid had Jack & Jill bunk beds at the rear and because our younger son preferred the upper bunk I cut a piece of paneling to size so he could slide it back to get into bed, then slide it forward as a barrier from falling out of bed. Worked fine. :B

When our girls were small, we had two of these
Bed Rails

We placed a dinette cushion on the floor beside the bunk "just in case".

The DH used a couple of small screws to keep them in place. When the girls got older and these were not needed, we just unscrewed them from the bed and took them down.

When my kids were small, I used something like this BedRail Guard.

If the bunks are the singles with an angled entry in a corner, you may be able to get one of the pet gates to stretch across, most are 24"-30" tall and can expand to about 36" wide. I dont know that I would trust the spring loaded installation they use in doorways in homes for them but Hooks at the ends may be secure enough, to prevent a fall hazard.

I cut a piece of 3/4" sanded plywood and sanded all the edges. I put that in place so my youngest son couldnt roll out of bottom bunk. Used it successfully from age 1-3. It was about 10" high and sort of wedged in place.
I left it open on the side where his head was for about 18" so he could still look out/get in and out of bed but the opening was small enough he couldnt roll out at night.

My son just bought some type of bunk railing on Amazon to keep his 15 month old in. I haven't seen it yet.
