Tow Vehicle Question

I am considering renting my Grand Design Reflection on RV Share. The trailer has a dry weight of 8,348 lbs. and a GVWR of 9,995 lbs. I tow the trailer with a 3/4 ton truck. Someone would like to rent the trailer for a weekend, but their tow vehicle is a 2012 GMC Sierra 1500 with a 5.3 V8 engine. Is this enough truck to safely pull the trailer approximately 60 miles?

I tow a 27' that weighs about 6500-7000 ready to camp with a 1500 GMC its a 2010 crew cab 4wd with tow package. it handles my T/T perfect. I have about 10,000 mi. on the package and its absolutely a pleasurer to drive. that being said I don't think I would want to go much over that weight and length.8000 + is quite a jump.

as a side question (feel free to not answer) may we ask how much you are being paid to let people destroy your RV? I'm curious how this is profitable.

1 mile or 60 miles - not even close to being enough truck. ๐Ÿ˜ž I wouldn't tow any more than 6000 lbs fully loaded & ready to camp with my own '12 Silverado.

RV Share has insurance that covers the trailer. The renter has to pay the insurance.

Trailers I seen advertised for rent around here are placed on site by the owners not the renter. You might check with your insurance to see if it would be covered when rented
