Tow vehicle rental for a 5vr

Does anyone know of a truck rental in the Dallas/Ft worth area that rents trucks with the 5th wheel hitch. Our vacation is coming up in 2 weeks and our tow vehicle is going in the shop due to transmission over heating. We hope it will be fixed in time but if not I didn't want to give up on our Colorado vacation.

Kind of off-topic (but not really), but this is the exact reason we went with a TT over a 5er.. No one we knew at the time had a 5er, and we had a very hard time finding a rental truck that was allowed to tow bumper pull trailers. At least with bumper pull, we had lots of options (friends/family).

The problem with rental companies, is they won't garruntee to have that exact truck for you.

You will be hard pressed to find any mainstream rental company willing to rent out a truck equipped with a 5th wheel hitch for EXACTLY the same reason your truck is currently not up to the task. Nobody wants the excessive wear and tear as well as the added liability.

I looked around and found one in Washington state and
This one here in Colorado. I would think Texas should have one as well? Maybe hire someone to drive it if you are just going to one place and stay the entire vacation?

You might try Penske Truck rental, the issue there might be a CDL requirement!
