Hey All,

I am looking at the Travel Lite and the Adventure models now becaue they are lighter dry than the Lance for example. I really wanted to remain the lightest as possible because much of my usage with be commuting to the city and some camping in my friend's driveway for a night or two a week. Will also use for camping but this is weekly usage and I want to keep my drive efficient as possible and not loaded down.

Thanks

"They" like to bandy about the notion that shedding 100lbs is good for 1/4 MPG improvement in your overall fuel economy.

It's pure baloney when we're talking about RVs with the aerodynamics of a barn.

A few hundred pounds one way or another will not make any noticeable difference in fuel economy. Daily driving the truck with the TC loaded will be rough on the fuel bill, period.

Putting 10-ply tires on half ton trucks since aught-four.

For the love of all that is holy, DO NOT buy a Travel Lite. A quick search here and other places will reveal. I just don't have it in me to retype my experience, but it's on here. Others PM'd me to say they experienced the same. I just hope the owner(s) of that company get what they deserve one day.

Travel Lite - Run like h#ll in the opposite direction!!!!!

Do NOT BUY!

Search Truck Camper Forum; keyword "Travel Lite".

Read stories and look at photos.

PM me if you want to ask any further questions. I have been to the factory in Indiana twice in 2 years to repair a 2013 770R for major water leaks. No quality control.

I love the layout of the 770R. And the interior workmanship is surprisingly nice. But that's a moot point if the **** thing fills up with water and rots from the outside...

Maybe you might get lucky with a used one, but they have had poor quality for 2 years now. And I saw no sign that they had fixed any issues on the assembly line when I went back a year later...

Just not worth it.

Can only comment on the Adventurer. We had one for 10 yrs, it was the most trouble free RV we ever owned. Would not hesitate to get another...

Sorry, I should add just looking for opinions and experiences with either of those!
