Truck mounted Torklift Tie downs for Lance 1172

If anyone has Torklift tie downs on a 2014 Ram 3500 Duelly I have a question. I have a Lance 1172, so if I mount the Torklift truck tie downs to be used with Torklift Fastguns, will they line up with the Lance camper hardware...Are all the mounts on Lance's standard. Given I use the appropriate Torklift part number for tie down for my truck, I assume they will line up with the camper without need of modification, given they are truck specific. Also, can you post a picture to show how much they "stick out" if at all when NOT in use, or do you remove some of the hardware? I will be adding a Torklift Super Hitch, and assume the rear set of truck tie downs go into the side of the super hitch? Also, can these tie downs and hitch be put on without lifting truck (If I can get the wife to crawl under the truck) (Just kidding).
Thanks,

Well it sounds like 90" or less and top of tiedowns may interfere with fenders? Hadnt heard this before, the Dodge fenders are rather large.
Does that include the bumpers (if you have) on front of camper? What they are measuring, 90" or less, is where the rear camper tiedown ends up in relation to fender..

Hopefully some Dodge owners who've run into this offer some work arounds or need. That 'kit' doenst look like something I want to do or the expense to move rear tiedown on camper an inch..

I could think of several ways to accomplish that without bolting on Spliced bolt together angle iron.

Does any one know if you have a DODGE duelly and use the torklift rear tie down R3507 if you need the duelly adaptor...I have Lance 1172 and it measures just 89 inches from front of camper to rear tie down. It says I need 7004A adaptor?

On the newer Rams you do not remove anything for the Super Hitch. The new receiver are used in conjunction with the existing hitch. You will get the lower section to add to the receiver there making it the double receiver. When I installed the one on the 2013 Ram I had it was a 3 piece so it wasn't to bad putting on. Just some heavy pieces to lift and hold while you try and put some bolts in to hold it.

Yes you are correct that the rear tiedowns fit into the end of the Super Hitch

The alignment between camper and mounts not an issue. The fuel door often will be blocked-but its just a matter of removing and with the fastguns even simpler.
Think of the T/L mounts as mini receivers, the mount arms slide in or out and pinned. Virtually no stickout when mounts arnt used.

front, can just see under bed lip is end of Torklift mount

rear, well under bed lip.

Front mount is about 3" from the front of the bed. Rear is about where the bumper ends.

When not in use, the are under the truck by about 4". Most folks would not even know they are there. I can drop the inserts in when I get home and snap a couple of pics if you still need them.

That's all I've heard of too.

I have the above situation...On my AF811 and 09 Dually, the front fastgun blocks the fuel door, so I remove the fastgun when fueling.

I would imagine that the camper tie down point are located in a position that works with all styles of truck mounted tiedowns, regardless of the brand of tie downs or the truck model

Some trucks have fuel filler doors that sit behind the FastGun turnbuckle due to the angle created between the camper and truck frame tie down. This is the only interference issue I have heard or seen. The frame mounts are two piece: The interior piece is bolted to the truck or receiver and the external piece is pinned to the internal one. This allows you to remove the external piece and not have anything extending beyond the body (although it is slightly bellow the body line).

The receiver is heavy if preassembled before fitting to the frame. If you fit one side brace then the center bar followed by the other side brace, you can do this yourself. The hardest part will be removing original receiver hardware without an impact wrench - It can be done with a breaker bar, but an impact wrench will spoil you.

I dont have any pictures but the Torklift tiedowns took me about an hour to install front and rear. Did not need to lift the truck to install them and they work great with my Lance. When not in use you can easily remove the "outriggers" in seconds and nothing will stick out.
