Trying to identify a 5er hitch

I bought a used 2014 RAM 3500 and it had one of these in the bed:



I can't tell what it is, so I don't know how to find instructions to get it out.

I'll be installing a B&W Companion and I'll need to get at those factory holes.

A lot of people do so. Adjust the hitch head to the rear position and adjust from there. The Cummins is so heavy that it won't hurt if you remove 100# from the front axle.

I was being sarcastic too...sorry buddy.:)..I never had a Reese let me down..Just moved up to a heavier 5er and had to go with a different hitch..was going to try something different..

I installed the B&W last night. It fits the factory Dodge pucks great.

A question for the B&W fans: How tall are you gents and what's your average reach?

I'm six foot and I can't reach the pin on the locking lever without climbing in the bed of the truck or riding on my wife's shoulders. How do you guys do it?

The chain to the lock pin is attached the hitch head even further throwds the center. I zip tied it to the hand outboard.

I carry this is my bed box. Chris

The link is me! I built one for my 11 Dually and improved on the design with the one I built for my 15.

I have no issue if someone wants to copy what I did. As far as I know no one makes anything like this for the 4th Gen RAM Dually. It tucks in flush to the body line. Here are a couple pics. There is a cross bed rail with a factory bolt hole I use and also about a 3/8" hole in the side of the spring hanger I mount the step bracket to. I also added a second bolt at the top. The tube the step tube slides into is a couple 2"x2"x1/8" angle cut down to make a sleeve. It about 1 9/16" ID. If I had my plans here I would post them. The step is a pc of 6"x1/4" flat bar with a 1 1/2 " bent lip, it's 14" long.
