TT Winter Covers

Hello All,

I am looking to buy a cover for my TT. It's about 19' long. I've read all sorts of reviews and some say one is great and the others say that one rips, etc.

I am looking for some good feedback from actual TT owners who have done this a few times!

Any information and suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Wind is not a friend of covers, you have put some extra rope etc. They will get tears, I've had several of them most damage is from the wind, some yrs worse that others.

Agree, agree and agree that using an appropriate RV cover is the difference and we have always covered our ROO and will order a cover for our new TT. Back in our boating days, those humongous blue tarps were all that were used, then came the white shrink wrap covers. We always had some blue scuffs that had to be cleaned off. Tarps, do not breathe. Adco, or similar, do breathe therefore much less chance of dampness = mold or mildew. Our thought is that we spent a lot of money for a TT and want it to look as good as new for as long as possible, so a $200 - $300 investment in the right cover is good insurance. BTW, our ROO cover was bought in the fall of '07 and other than a couple of very minor holes that a piece of duct tape took care of, it looked just like Day #1 when it went to its new home this past May.

and another 30 or more a couple of miles down the road at an adult village...none are ever covered.

This doesn't suprise anyone - nothing is ever covered at one of those "adult villages"! :E

Either way I have noticed that people feel very strongly for or against them.

I really think it is a personal choice. We all will have opinions.

Our friends GT 40 sits outside with the other vehicles and gets parked anywhere in a walmart parking lot. Some may think that crazy.

Each to his own, however, I can look out over the field and see 20 not covered and another 30 or more a couple of miles down the road at an adult village...none are ever covered.

Like I said everyone has their own opinions.

You are right that other people's opinion, who have no $ interest is valuable.

Ours will be stored beside our neibours, never been covered RV.

The "Everyone's" we have talked to have all been RV dealers and a manufacturer.

And what interest do these have in you doing something that protects your TT/RV therefore making them last longer? :h

In my area, lots of people cover theirs - can see this in the RV storage yard where I keep mine. Also can see the ones parked in driveways and side lawns in my neighborhood that are not covered and can see the dirty deteriorating condition that they are in.

So listen to your dealer or manufacturer and don't cover, they will be more than happy to sell you a new one 😛

Me? I'd rather listen to the folks on have been there and done that and base a decesion on these responses, whether they agree with my point of view or not.

I have to add, I have not seen one used on any RV in our area. The only thing we saw was an RV wrapped like a present with a tarp and duct tape. Obviously, there will be issues with that TT.

If they work for people that's great. I would think that where you live, weather conditions etc would make a difference. It might be best to see how others in your region store their RV.

I cover our Southwind. We've never had any problems with the cover rubbing the paint or holding moisture and/or mildew issues.
We get a lot of winter wind in our area.
