To my follow TCers, I'm halting posting my trip reports due to the fact the the reCAPTCHA program the RV.net uses is preventing me from posting any photos. I had a short window today in which I was able to post to 2 photos then the reCAPTCHA slammed the door shut on me again. I PM Admin on 3/11/18 and not a word from them, Reddog1 tried to help me out but doesn't have high enough clear-age to do what's needed.

I maybe forced to go to a independence blog site and post a link here.

To Admin your silence is deafening.

The RE:Captcha thing must not be consistent at being displayed... I have still never seen it.

That's that annoying popup window that want's to know if you're robot right.
That just started to hit me the last couple posts. Could not get past it after several attempts. Posted through a different portal. For image sourcing, I post images public to facebook then link from the specific picture page, not from a timeline posted page, so far without issue.

That's right, we need everyone who is having trouble with this second party program to contact Admin. about the trouble their having with the reCAPTCHA program. I think that's the only way we're going to get Admin to do something about it, where I work part-time at got rid of reCAPTCHA due to all the problem it was causing.

I just compose mine using Open LiveWriter and post them to my blog first (Since most of my project posts are also entries for my blog), then use an HTML to BBCODE converter to turn the content from the entry into forum code to share on forums.

That way if recaptcha poops the boat, I can just retry with another cut and paste instead of losing the whole post.

Thanks for the suggestion, I did give it a try and the end results was the same, reCAPTCHA getting in the way.

It definitely can make a difference and from time to time, one is better than the other and then next time, its the other way around.

All in all, the RV.net site seems to be much more stable now than many years ago.

deafing..??!?!

(idiomatic) A silence, or a lack of any response

It is also a oxymoron.

To those posters that suggested using other portals, tried that and it didn't change a thing and the problem is the reCAPTCHA service that RV.net uses

I use TRAILERLIFE to get to the RV NET forum here. Seems like when I use the RV NET directly I start getting weird things happening.

I also use IMGUR for my free PHOTO POSTING service with no issues. I was using PHOTOBUCKET prior to that but it has now gone to PAY FOR SERVICE and I lost a bunch of my stored photos in the process...

Do your own thing Alex and post a link to it. There's no reason not too if it saves frustration. And the right click "back" button gets you right back to rv.net, walla!

As often as not- captcha makes posting anything of any length, more than a couple of pictures just painful. I had luck using another portal
https://forums.trailerlife.com/index.cfm/fuseaction/listings/forum/27
But it also started the captcha block. Worth a try if you were able to save post.
Dont have a problem with the captcha-if it worked. Normally just starts over or sends me to main forum homem page 0withouht posting. Several threads in the forum technical section...
