wet bath toilet sealing

No luck finding answer using search.

Found out the toilet on my old T/C leaks onto the plywood underneath when using the shower. What is the proper way to seal? While at this repair I'll also seal the floor drain.

Successfully tested today with toilet installed. Yes, I will seal the pipe, was waiting until I needed to open another tube of caulk.

This should stop the leaking. I don't think it will be necessary to seal the bottom of the pot or the void in the back now.

Tested and still have the leak. Removed the toilet and exposed the "pothole". Found the mess pictured below. Have it all cleaned up and will seal with................Dicor. May use some self levelling to fill in all the voids of the pan seal and around the edge with Non-Leveling

My toilet did have the void in middle back, same as the one mentioned in the link above. There was some sealant in there, but was no longer effective. Sealed the void good with silicone. I'll let it cure then fill the shower pan again with water to see if that's good enough or if not the toilet will have to be taken up and sealed all the way around.

When I bought a used Lance 500 the floor of the shower pan had a small leak around the toilet , the toilet is on a raised part of the shower floor . Thats probably what saved it from being much worse as far as damage .
On mine if you pull the toilet out theres a regular household type toilet flange that the toilet bolts down to , my leak was between the flange and the shower floor . I put a hose at this conection to confirm the leak , I could see under the shower floor from the compartment dr for the drain valves . You have somekind of acsess to that area because the shower drain Pee trap is right there also.
There are 3 or 4 screws holding the flange down , loosen them and seperate the flange from the fiberglass floor and squeese some sealant in ,tighten it down and run a bead of sealant around the flange , worked on mine. Good luck

Thanks for the link. I may have the same issue as it is a thetford, will check for the void in the back and probably pull it up and replace the o-ring.

I believe if you check the toilet, there is a void on the back side where the water can leak through the floor.

I'll try searching to see if I can find a thread where I read about it.

Almost has to be coming from around bottom of toilet. I put water in with a water hose and it did not get up to the skirting. I was actually just testing the drain and had a look underneath the shower pan and could see dripping where the toilet drain goes through the floor.
