What year is this Amerigo Truck Camper?

Trying to find out what year this Amerigo is based on outside styling and interior ugliness. We are currently renovating it and I want to have some things made for it based on the year. (long decorators story)

You are going to break the record for the fastest Amerigo rebuild..
Keep the good work

My goal is to have this thing done by March. And even that is disappointing as I originally wanted it done for a trip to Florida in February. Oh well...

There is a an "A" and a 76, in marker ink, on the inside of the metal framing (of the door). Thinking a 1976...

Left side of the wing and frame re-build. That square "plate" you see in the photo is one of 4 thin steel plates my husband made to sure up the area where the jacks will be re-installed. The bolts will be put right through the steel plate( once we put holes in it that is.) We also place angle iron alongside the entire length of the wing on the outside edge. What's 40 more pounds anyways? LOL

cleaned up the old fridge vent...re-installed. Lots and lots of Butyl and Dicor. If this thing leaks I will be a monkeys uncle.

Hi,

I found my M/N and the #72 stamped in the threshold of the entry door. This matched the VIN sticker on the outside that gave a date of manufacture of 1972.

Hi all,
You have one that is between a 1975 to a 1978 with the rear fiberglass close-out around the snap n nap.
Amerigo stopped making our version in 1978... Came back in 1991/93 timeframe and that was it.
If you have the original fire extinguisher, check the date on it....give you an idea of the time frame.
I'll be winterizing mine tomorrow....still love it.
I'll try to check in more...been very busy at work.
Good luck!
Dave

no fire extinguisher. Found 1972 on the stove, but I know it can't be a 1972. Must have been when the stove was manufactured. It stumps me. My unit has "sticker" decals of amerigo on the sides and all the others I have seen have plastic. Your 1976 has nice drawer and cabinet doors. Mine has nasty "particle" board.
