Icould takea pic but I don’t know how to upload it.I amexcited about the possibility,my husband’not so much. The more info I can get and learn ,the better my chances are.Thank you.modification for forest river 25ft micro liteWe love our 25 ft forest river micro lite but the storage is small and the rear slide out storage is almost useless. My thought was to remove the molded plastic from the rail which would add about 5-6 in with to the roll out and attach a coated metal base or plywood with a lip on either side and inset stoppers on the back as it can roll right off if you aren’t careful! Then inset 2-3 crates for storage. It seems like a much better use of space.one for water hoses and connectors, one for electrical cords and connectors and one for misc. items. The molded plastic is so narrow from the form itself and then with a molded attached piece in the middle , you are left with very little usable space. Thanks for your thoughts,in advance.Re: heated mattress on forest river flagstaffThanks for the posts. My concern was how the heating element was attached and if it is readily able to be disconnected to remove.Since the TT is still in production I am going to take a long shot and see if they could keep the mattress and give me a maxxair fan over the bed.:-)heated mattress on forest river flagstaffDH and I purchased a forest river flagstaff micro lite and it comes with a heated mattress. When I laid on the show model I didn't like the feel even though it is memory foam.We spent $400 on a dynasty memory foam 2 yrs ago that I love.I(not heated).I want to swap them out when the tt comes but my DH doesn't think we can and the salesman didn't know.Has anyone ever swapped them out or replaced it with their own.I can compromise and get a heated blanket but can't compromise on the mattress quality.OK I'm spoiled but I can live with that .HaHais forest river rockwood mini2506s a good buyWe have a 21 ft trail runner but realized we need a little more room. The rockwood mini and flagstaff ultra lite at 25 ft and 1 slide with front kitchen and rear bed.Excellent layout but then I was researching more and heard about many recalls, poor windows and failed sink.Best forum for honest feedback. At 66 we don't want to purchase poorly. Thanks ,TrishRe: Late Flotrida CampgroundCross Creek RV resort in Arcadia Florida(45 minutes east of Sarasota). It is our first year here and we love it.Gated community with large sites, wide roads and awesome grounds and amenities.Lot rent is $1050.00/mo .Stayed in a cheaper place last year but decided if we were going to work hard to be snowbirds we would pay a little more for a nice place and have no regrets.Won't look further.Check it out.Staff is the best.i'm going to arcadia florida ...and getting cold feet.I thought I did my research but the closer it gets to leaving(dec 27)I wonder if we made the right choice. The campground had a good price and has since lowered its monthly fee and it makes me wonder ????To good to be true? Now I hear it is not the safest area and my head is spinning.Has anyone stayed at the big tree rv resort? If we get there and dont like it will we ever find another place that late? Please ,I need advice.Re: first snowbird season in florida this winter 2014/2015-helpThank you so much for all your responses. You have been very helpful and we appreciate it.Live,Love and Laugh,Trishfirst snowbird season in florida this winter 2014/2015-helpDH and I have wintered as campworksers in AZ last 4 yrs.Now we will winters in Big Tree rv park in Arcadia Florida for first time and not as camppworksers. We hear horror stories about bugs, humidity,"real old people' and I need facts and tips please.First off has anyone stayed @ that park or in the area that can enlighten us?Second do you use dehumidifiers in your rv to prevent the moisture build up/Also how do you store your food? All in plastic containers?I have been doing research and have not found much on the care with the moisture issue. The rv park does use powder for the ant issue which I hear is all over florida. As far as palmetto bugs I don't hear much.Just the darn ants.We are very excited.we live in upstate NY so the 1200 mile drive is much easier than 2300 but we have enjoyed it here.I need to see water, see color and smell things.I would love to hear all about florida and what to expect and should do to plan ahead from anyone who has the time.I appreciate your input.Trish,Dave and little mugzy and old Duke.We have a 36 ft fifthwheel and a 1ton silverado.
